Change of Command Ceremony

Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center

The Change of Command Ceremony took place at the Fort Snelling U.S. Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The color guard members are relaxed, but not for long!

 A red carpet and a sharp looking squadron await the arrival of the day's special guests.

The color guard bearing the colors which remind us all of the significance of this ceremony.

Warrant Officer Don Johnson announced the arrivals and read the biographies of each of the dignitaries at the Change of Command Ceremony. They were :

CAPT Marc Stanley, USN, Commanding Officer, Naval ROTC Unit, University of Minnesota.
LCDR Rich Cox, USNSCC, Naval Sea Cadet Corps 9-1 Region Director.
MAJ Anthony Bivona, USAF, Former Commanding Officer, Twin Cities Squadron USNSCC.
LCDR Keith Larson, USN (Ret.), Commanding Officer, Twin Cities Squadron USNSCC.
Chaplain David Magruder, CHC, LT, USNR

 The diginitaries arrived to the traditional bell ringing which indicates the individual's rank.

Opening remarks were delivered by LCDR Rich Cox.

LCDR Keith Larson also addressed the crowd and read his orders.

After the ceremony cake and coffee was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Thank you MAJ Bivona for your fine service, and we look forward to smooth sailing ahead under LCDR Larson's command.
