C-130 Orientation Flight

934th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Force Reserve Station

Some excited cadets eagerly anticipate their C-130 experience.

The C-130 is based at the 934th Airlift Wing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Force Reserve Station.

A C-130 is 112 feet, 9 inches long and has a maximum take off weight of 155,000 pounds. The plane is powered by over 4,200 of prop shaft horsepower.

 
This isn't the one that the cadets flew in, but this picture gives a good overview of this aircraft.

Are we ready?

Yes Sir!

The luxury accomodations aboard a C-130.

The pilots prepare for take-off.

The flight plan is reviewed and everything is ready.

Off the ground and everything is going fine.

The flight path took them over Faribault and Brainerd and then back to the Minneapolis-St. Paul AF Reserve Station.

Everyone is ready for a smooth landing.

 

 

Back on the ground safe and sound.

The airman opens the cargo bay door.

The flight landed after dark.

Another exciting Sea Cadet adventure comes to an end.
